Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan live with new mobile portal
The favourite newspaper in the South of Sweden, Sydsvenskan, goes live with new website, new mobile site and mobile apps. While the new website is based on EPi Server – the mobile site is built using Mobiletech Publish and the EPi Mobile plugin.
In addition to the site Mobiletech has also provided hybrid apps implemented with push messages for both iPhone and Android. The mobile site utilizes some of the latest functionalities based on HTML5, Ajax and JavaScripts.
700% growth in mobile web traffic
TNS Gallup has released a report summarizing the year 2011 in numbers. From a mobile perspective, the numbers are quite mind-blowing. From January 2010 to December 2011 page views grew 700%! Most of this growth happened in 2011.
Advanced new mobile business newspaper
DagensNæringsliv (DN), Norway’s largest business paper, and one of the world’s most-read business papers relative to population, has re-launched their mobile portal with Mobiletech’s Publish Platform. With a bold up-to-date design, it takes advantage of several nifty widgets to enhance the user experience on smart phones. The site also utilizes Ajax to minimize traffic load, and of course gracefully downgrades to ensure a good user experience even for older handsets.
